November is National Give Thanks month and Universal Studios celebrated this special time in a big way.  On Thursday November 12, 2015 250 homeless children from over 20 LAUSD elementary and middle schools were invited to a Universal Studios Hollywood 11th Annual Day of giving.  On hand to help were hundreds of employee volunteers and a medley of Minions from the theme park's popular "Despicable Me Minion Mayhem" ride.

Most children were fitted for shoes jackets and school uniforms and were able to select books to take home supplied by Operation School Bell and Universal Studios.  Also new backpacks were given out stuffed with various goodies.  Students enjoyed day-long activities including a complimentary lunch, an afternoon of fun at the theme park and chance to experience the new 3D Ultra-HD adventure, “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem”, “Super Silly Fun Land” play zone and the world-famous Studio Tour, which now features the blockbuster thrill ride, “Fast & Furious – Supercharged” as the epic grand final of the signature ride.
