Purple Launches On-Demand Fuel Service ~~$10 OFF First Order~~

Yep! Gas brought to you!

By staff April 27, 2016

You can now order fuel through Purple App and avoid those lines at the gas station.  A new company, Purple, allows customers to use a smartphone app to order on-demand fueling service, which has launched in Los Angeles, and is now available in San Diego, Orange County, and Seattle, so share this with your family and friends.

“Getting to a gas station can be a hassle, especially during rush hour or bad weather,” Purple co-founder Bruno Uzzan said. “We want to offer a convenient, alternative way to get gas, requiring just a few taps on a user’s phone.”

It's so easy -- once the fuel is ordered, Purple service providers come to the vehicle's location to fill the fuel tank, with no need for the customer to be present. Users can choose either a one-hour window or a three-hour window for a small fee. Both 87 or 91 octane fuel is available, with 7.5, 10 and 15 gallon quantity options.

The service, which launched in April 2015 in Los Angeles, and has expanded to cover other areas, allows users to have their vehicle refueled while at work, home, or any other location within the serviced radius. Having that option frees up an average of 15 minutes a day, “With the technology available now, it’s becoming possible to make even mundane tasks like
refueling a vehicle easy for users,” Uzzan said. “Using Purple lets them worry about other priorities, because we take care of getting their gas.”

The app uses geolocation to match users with nearby gas or service stations that participate in the program. Prices for fuel are in line with the area average.

Purple was co-founded by Bruno Uzzan and JP Hubschman.  Uber co-founder Oscar Salazar is an early investor in Purple.  Purple is an on-demand fuel-service app. Launched in April 2015 in Los Angeles, California, drivers can order quality Top Tier fuel from their smartphones, and have their tanks fueled at the car’s location, thus allowing drivers to continue about their day without needing to stop at a gas station. Purple is easy and reliable - users may never go back to the pump again.
