September 23!

We attended a special screening of Warner Bros new film Storks at the studios in Burbank.  It was a fun filled event that added to the excitement of one of the years best films about the importance of family time.  It was a first visit for us to Warner Bros. studios as well.  The theater was huge and it was filled with the very people that needed this storyline FAMILIES.

Writer and Director Nicolas Stoller really captured the true American culture in Storks.  Families juggling a million tasks like trying to earn a living while taking kids to some sort of practice, or stopping at Trader Joes to pick up food for dinner and vacuuming granola out of the backseat and ...all within 2 hours time.  Well maybe that went a bit far, but Storks really mirrors the post millennial life styles that the majority of us live daily.  It was really refreshing to see this family put the breaks on the world around them and focus on one another.

We laughed out loud at several scenes.  There is something for the entire family to enjoy and thought provoking for conversation on the way home.  Somehow I did dodge the conversation about where babies come from!!  My guys not knowing what life is like without the internet, was more concerned with googling conerstore.com to see if the store actually existed!  Conerstore.com is a major factor in Storks, it's somewhat the beginning and end and beginning again for Storks and babies.

Storks
deliver babies…or at least they used to. Now they deliver packages for global internet giant Cornerstore. Junior, the company’s top delivery stork, is about to be promoted when he accidentally activates the Baby Making Machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble before the boss gets wise, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop – in a wild and revealing journey that could make more than one family whole and restore the storks’ true mission in the world.
