BBQ Pulled Chicken sliders

No Fourth of July celebration of complete without bar-b-que.  This is a simple meal that can easily be made ahead of time for a large gathering or family picnic.


Ingredients:

6 Chicken Breasts
Spice Rub (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika)
1 whole Onion, sliced
Water
BBQ Sauce


Directions:

1. Remove chicken from packaging and rub down with a mixture of spices. Let sit overnight in the refrigerator.

2. Add chicken and onion to slow cooker and fill halfway with water.

3. Cook on low for 8 hours.

4. Take chicken out of the slow cooker and pull it apart (forks work well for this

5. Add your favorite BBQ sauce and cook for an additional 30 minutes.

6. Serve hot with cole slaw, beans, corn on the cob and fresh rolls!
